A new concession has joined us at Avant Garden Centre – the Fireworks Shop – and their claim to fame is that they sell the largest selection of fireworks in the North West.

Their enthusiasm and passion for all things that go bang on Bonfire Night, or any other time of year for that matter, is boundless.  Attention to the safe use of fireworks and promoting the Firework Code appear pretty high on their agenda too, and the “see before you buy“, both in store on screen as well as on their website, makes the whole experience of creating your own display so much easier.

In the past, I have bought a Cat 2 Cake style firework, the beauty of the cake idea being the ease of use – one ignition to light for a whole display!  The Firework Shop sells an Ultimate Battle of Colours for £8.50.  This, along with a Little Bag Selection Box (of a bit of everything – from bangs to fountains to 16 shot barrages) and a pack of 5 Astroblaster rockets (not to be confused with the inferior articles from the supermarket) and you have a whole evening of high quality entertainment for a family for under £60 .
